They might make me want to start on the set. The diff. tints are interesting to me One player can have 6 diff. tints.

I gave the set a try in the 80s but I wasn't focused enough back then to get past owning about 70 different

My "steal of the show" from the National in it's new SGC holder. For those that don't know the story, I bought in a PSA Authentic holder for $100. If you look at the back, there were some light pencil marks erased. Otherwise, the card is great and perfect for my collection.

Always nice to snag a HOF, and without a Piedmont back.

Yeah, I think I am going to have to start taking photos of slabbed cards so that they don't look so terrible.

Scans will have to wait until I return to Canada over Christmas....but...

I picked up a VG'ish T206 Huggins portrait for a good price recently, not knowing what the back was. Turns out it's an American Beauty back!

I've had this card for a few years now...but it is finally in a deserving tomb! HAte to say it...but PSA got this one right!!! SGC did not!

The Bender portrait is just in via Mr. Stefanic. Thanks brother she's a beauty!! The Johnson is via a recent trade with Mr. Ben, but freshly slabbed courtesy of PSA's $12 dollar special at the Nat'l. Not quite sure what to make of the grade given on the WAJO card. No creases.
They say it has a couple teeny light paper rubs on the back, thus the grade of a 2. One over the "A" in Cigarettes and another over "FA" in factory.

I'll take 2s and 3s like that all day long! Great pickups, Tony!

Take WaJo to SGC. They seem to be more forgiving about erasures.

Pete's Wagner with the qualifier comes out to a -1, what a piece of junk your going to have to pay someone to take it off your hands.

Thanks! The Speaker was very high on my wantlist. And so was a nice W600 of a Boston AL player. The Dineen I purchased raw thinking it was either a 3 or a 4. Was very pleased when the SGC on-site grading came back a 4!
