Slabs in no way define a card nor coin. Each item defines itself. And though consultation with interested sellers, one can convey the criteria which are valued highly, and help focus the recommendations of the seller.
Third parties have no right to dictate that a pinhole is worse than writing on a card's front; nor do they have the rights to impose their views on the collector in any other aspect of card evaluation.
I determine for myself what is and is not acceptable based on my preferences. And my preferences do not include card value appreciation, so I have the luxury of not making choices based on the rules of the legislating bodies.
However, if you plan to sell your card, you must keep in mind that the average collector is no different than cattle. He will follow the herd brainlessly and is apt to stampede for reasons he is unsure of.

Note to self:
Don't buy cards with pinholes from Gil. Do sell him cards with pinholes though.

Our bitterness also causes us to cling to guns and religion.
Re: Grade
I can see how religion and slabs go together, but guns seem to go more with alcohol and tobacco.

Me too. Which is why I'm perfectly happy to get this card at a price very close to where other 2s have sold.
