As a kid I was a huge Dr J fan. Just curious if anyone knows why he sold all of his stuff? I can see players selling stuff like Steve Carlton did. He got rid of his 1987 Twins WS series ring and other awards, rings etc that felt didn't have much meaning to him. There were some crazy prices for the Dr J stuff. This was the big one:

ABA championship ring

Not sure if this is the price before or after juice but I'm wondering if this is the highest price paid for a non-baseball sports item?

some of his businesses went broke. he might need the money to pay off debt even tho his people denies it.
