That one missing card
What is the one card your are missing from your collection that you really want but have not been able to find? It was this type of thread that landed me my Thorpe card. Hopefully someone can get their dream card from this thread.

I need a 20's Nemo Leibold to complete my assembly of the Big Train and the Senators putting it all together in the '24 Series.

For me it is an E254 Colgan's Chip of Elmer Flick with Toledo. I would pay VERY WELL for an example of this card!

Really, Jay? I thought that was your "gonna have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers" kind of card.
I suppose you are saying that you are open to selling it for life changing type of money?

Re: That one missing card
Put it this way, it would take way more than market value to get me to sell it. One thing I've learned over the years in this hobby is that there is a good chance there is someone out there with more money than sense that wants something you own and they will throw an insane amount of money at you to get it. If I got that offer, I probably wouldn't turn it down.
Re: That one missing card
That makes sense. Still, I'd be willing to bet you'd have seller's remorse if you parted with it - unless the profit netted you one high-end, tangible item.

I got my Thorpe card 6 years ago. In that time I have seen 3 up for sale. Two in auctions and one private transaction I know of.

Ira Thomas E125 American Caramel Diecut
I would like to add this card to my Ira Thomas type collection. It would look great on the shelf above my George Gibson E125 American Caramel Diecut.

Re: That one missing card
It's kind of a tough question. There are so many card venues now that if something is so rare that I can't find it, it would probably be too expensive if I did ever turn one up. I can't think of a card I've wanted that I haven't at least seen here or there.
Maybe one, but not baseball. I finally got a Cadbury Titanic card last year. I had waited very patiently and for a long time to catch one I could afford - ever since Kevin S posted some scans a few years ago. I was so completely taken by the looks of it. It was my only automated ebay search. I never even put it on a want list b/c I thought they were so cool that mentioning them would attract too many interested people. The one I got is a 1 or maybe 1.5, but it really looks decent. One in VG or VG/EX just went on ebay for >$4000. Great card. I haven't scanned it yet or I'd post it.
But that's the only one that I really had to wait for and couldn't find. I was very lucky to get mine for a reasonable price.

my card's not even that tough...always wanted an e94 "old" cy young but for one really stupid reason or another never got it....whether being underbider to a dealer and it's sat in his inventory for 2+ years, tbob hoarding every single one on the group buys or seller not accepting my higher offer and deciding to sell it for less. not meant to be!

Wow - one week after posting this, I have purchased a fantastic example of this card from Tony (3-2 Count)!
So maybe I'll update this and hope to hit another bit of luck...how about a nice T207 Cicotte???

There is one in the next Memory Lane auction, if you had not seen. Gold background, PSA 3...but that is a weird cut on the bottom edge...

Moses Yellowhorse
Hello,
I have been looking for a 1924 zeenut of Moses Yellowhorse for a while. Any condition would do for me!

You and lot of other Zeenut and Native American collectors. Probably right there with Claxton on the rarity level, but not sure. Maybe one of the resident Zeenut experts could chime in.

David McDonald (dmcd50@hawaii.rr.com) just picked up a '24 Zee-nut Yellowhorse SGC A without coupon. It looks like a vg+ in appearance to me. Who knows? He may accept the right offer.

Re: That one missing card
Hi guys,
Some tough cards you're looking for, but not all of them.
Yellowhorse is not a tough Zeenut. I've had a couple and sold them for reasonable prices. Claxton will cost about 8k more and I've only seen one. Yellowhorse you could get for $150 or less in lowgrade.
Hey Pete, Spider Baum has a readily available 1910 Obak for about 30 bucks.
Good luck with all your wants!
