Dan, great piece. I used to own a beautiful cabinet of the St Paul Saints with a black border and the entire season's results written on the back. Your piece reminded me of that one.

I would say definitely a double header on the 4th of July. That would not have been unusual...get the festivities started in the morning....maybe a picnic and then an afternoon game. I hadn't even noticed that until you pointed it out.

Sadly I just missed the straw ride by 100+ years.

I don't collect the larger w601's, too many of them across so many years plus the large size would make for some serious storage problems.
