Re: February 2008 Pickups
Although not too new, I just picked up these from GAI today. The raw card was not submitted...just not sure I showed it.
Re: February 2008 Pickups
Love those double name cards Kevin - wise choice! BTW - I have a Needham almost identical to yours that I will be sending SGC with my next submission. That one is a double bonus - double name and a 460 only card - definite winner IMHO!

Re: February 2008 Pickups
Nice Cycle 460's guys! Actually, that is one back I don't have many of - b/c there is some Bowlingshoe guy that collects them and I don't bid if I see he is high bidder on those.
John - let me guess, you are completing a T206 back set in VG/EX grade?

Re: February 2008 Pickups
Scott dead on VGEX or better...but I have a feeling this Piedmont Factory 42 will be tough....some guy on ebay keeps getting them..
Re: February 2008 Pickups
Damn him!
I think this guy could help you out with Carolina Brights, BL 350, Lenox and any of the others he doesn't collect however (Red Hindu, BL 460, Uzit and Pied. Fact. 42). All you have to do is let him know which backs you need in a 4 or better, besides the ones listed above.

Re: February 2008 Pickups
Quan what an amazing card. The first time I saw that card it was Scott M's Walsh. I love that pose and card!
Scott, I'll drop you my list since you seem to know a guy...

Re: February 2008 Pickups
Boy, You guys have built (are building) a great forum, what a nice atmosphere. I'm very Impressed.
I got sniped on the real card I wanted today but did manage to pick up this nice 3 finger, it actually kinda looks like him. The Vegetable label I picked up at a Gun Show today. I've seen them before, I think their new old stock but who cares at $2.50.

Re: February 2008 Pickups
agreed jerry, it's very nice and mellow here. i'm very happy with my e98 walsh, e92 nadja lajoie, and t206 johnson this month. hoping to snatch one more big card in the coming week.
wonka thanks for reminding me. when i first got the green walsh i thought "blazer!"...then i went to scott m's registry to compare with his green army and i realized my card resembles a 100 yr old card with all the wear. I seriously think SGC undergraded some of his e98s, as they're prone to do.

I won 2 and lost 2 that I wanted yesterday
Half way done with the Delong set now. Grove is the biggest name I need now.

2 new E103's
Picked up these two E103's. The Lord has a 4 front, but the back is stained keeping this one down. The Pastorious looks like a 5 up front. Has the MK designation because of a hand written "25" on the back.
One of these is up for trade....probably the Lord. I'll be adding it to the B/S/T area.

Re: February 2008 Pickups
Thanks. It'll look even better in an SGC holder Actually, I shouldn't have won the card. My max bid was a typo. I had meant to bid $513 and change. Instead, I accidently hit the 6 and didn't notice. I ended up paying $100 more than I originally planned, but I'm not really going to complain. It is a great looking card for about a tenth what a comparible card without smidge of paper loss would cost.

The Lord has a 4 front
Amen.
I own the Jesus rookie card featured on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno in Oct 2005. It would be nice to have the Lord too!
Re: February 2008 Pickups
Haha....that's pretty funny. I didn't even notice that.
