Re: REA wins...
hey mark those type 2s have dropped a bit the last couple years (besides the delahanty). would love to see how thick is the cardboard compared to the 1s.
i won 1 lot but lost out on a few i really wanted...e105 wagner, e135 collins-mccarthy ruth, and a couple jaxes. i'm already burn out/broke and there are still sloate, memory lane, and goodwin ending this month? yikes!

Ha,Ha...Quan...
Thats what happens when you go after a E103 Wagner and win
As for E107 type 2 prices, i was talking to Jonathan Freund, the guy who had a ton of the E107 cards in REA and he was telling me that he paid a hefty price for the Delahanty a few years back and did not expect to recoup his money on that.
When i get the Leach i will check it out and see how thick it is. Seems a lot of people think the type 2 E107 cards were actually a issued set. The world may never know....

Recent Pickups and Type 2 e107s....
Mark,
Nice win on the e107 Leach. That actually used to be my card as I went for a Type 2 e107 set at one point. The best I could do was 5/8 though. I had the Delehanty, Lajoie, Keeler, Leach and one other common, Doyle I believe. I needed the Seybold, Tenny (always the darn Tenny!!) and the recently discovered Waddell for completion. I ended up picking up the Waddell a little later on and have since parted ways with that card. The Waddell is currently sitting in Sloate's auction and is a gorgeous example of an e107 HOFer and is a card where only one or two exist.
Type 2s are printed on a thicker, heavier cardboard. The backs are typically a dull greyish or whitish color. Interestingly enough I have seen backs made out of two different materials. One looks like it was cut straight off a box, the other (the whitish material) resembling something cut off an advertising display. They are very neat cards and a cool "subset" to the e107 Type 1 monster. I found it VERY cool to be able to tell people that I was "going after an e107 set" a year or two ago.
Anyways, I did pick up a few things this weekend as well. Some tough d359s, some nice looking e102s and some Mayos. I've tried to upload scans and post them but I'm not sure if I did this correctly....

Re: REA wins...
Cmoking that Cobb is a beauty!, Steve love the E107 nice Mayos Brian!
Still sleepy here but I at least I got one of the four I was bidding on after being skunked on the Heritage Plank and Magie and the VG 3 in REA.
I really would have loved to have picked up some more obscure E107’s and harder stuff that was up on the block, but after 5 years of sitting in a position of needing 4 cards to finish this set it feels pretty good to make this check mark on the old want list “auth” grade and all.
Now I get to say I only need 3 more...LOL.

wonka,
sweet! now i can't wait to see you joining t206collectorihaveaplankandautot206cards updating/reminding us every time there's a new magie/plank hits the auction block...receiving a new bid...or someone thinking about putting in a bid...or even someone selling some cards to get money ready to maybe contemplating putting in a bid...basically trumpeting everything t206 plank/magie-related since you guys have those cards. i can't wait
yea, i'm bitter because i don't have a t206 plank! even a trashed, crappy, raggedy one...
