October 2014 Pickups

A 1958 Topps Christiansen and some Philadelphias, all HOfers, except for Tingelhoff, but he's a senior finalist for the class of 2015:

Picked up a couple Jimmy Claxton related items (3) photo postcards of Roslyn Ball Park ca. 1907-08. Top, Roslyn Public School from baseball diamond. Middle, Railroad Avnue bisects town and drops teams off at the ballpark. Bottom, Roslyn Ball Park. Claxton played catcher for Roslyn ca. 1906-11, and later returned to manage the semi-pro Roslyn Yippers 1926-27..... and a July 4, 1941 Toppenish Community Celebration pinback. Claxton pitched for the Fife Tigers v. Yakima Indians in a triple-header between six teams at the event.

Here's my football pick-up this month. 1921 Outlook High School Football, Yakima Washington. Only one player named on the back, darn. Got a roster from newspaper articles but yearbooks were only made for Outlook from 1926-34, ARgghHH!!!
