Re: September 2013 Pickups
Nice Waddell!!!
Here's a few of my new arrivals:
First, this is the final Red Sox card I needed to complete the E90-1 team set. This has been difficult, with the Speaker, Karger and Stahl all being really tough cards:
Second, this great addition to my small OJ collection...one of the toughest HOFers in the set, Uncle Robbie:
Third, another OJ with a nice image, I think:
Fourth, one of the very few HOFers featured in the E97 set:

Thanks
Thanks! Two asides on the passes for any Pacific Coast League history buffs. The 1913 pass has a note on the front signed by Portland Beavers owner W.W. McCredie. Regarding the 1918 Portland pass, in 1918 the Portland Beavers were dropped from the Pacific Coast League and instead played under the name Portland Buckaroos in the Pacific Coast International League (which previously had been called the Northwestern League). The 1918 pass is for Portland's Pacific Coast International League games.

Happy Birthday, Blair! Congrats again on the Robinson heist. Great looking Plank and Waddell. I like that Stahl card as well. Always nice to complete a team set!

Wow. Awesome Rube. Much nicer image in this format than in the T206 set (though it's nice there, as well).TheBig6 wrote:

Thanks Lucas, I have the Matching T206 as well
I'll revive the "It takes two to Tango thread" and post them there.

Thanks, Jamie! The Robinson's a keeper, for sure. And the Stahl (unless an upgrade comes along...but I'm not seeking one...happy with the one above).jbonie wrote:Happy Birthday, Blair! Happy Birthday Blair
Great pickups. I know how hard some of the e90-1's can be to find and n172 Robinson is great also.
I saw a N173 Robinson at a card show back in the late 80's's/early 90's but the guy wanted 1400 for it which would be a steal today but back then was an exorbinate amount of money for me. It did leave a lasting impression though.

Adam,
I'm so glad you won that. A friend was pushing me, but I'm not ready for photography collecting yet.
We might have cost one another some money, if I had succumbed.

Thanks Chris. I don't normally go after photos, but I decided to do a search for Bains as I had owned one in the past and up popped this one. I think I lucked out as I honestly thought it would go for much more.
