I once ate a 14 year old piece of Topps gum. No chance of a bubble, tasted like cardbaord and disintegrated.

I've chewed (well it dissolved) the gum from a 1954 football pack and a 1956 Roundup. Yuk.

Topps gum in the 50's was the best. A big old slab with white powdered sugar all over it. Oh, crap another Walt Dropo

Yeah, but how many slabs could you fit in your mouth at once ...... as you strip open the packs?

As many packs as I bought, it's all going in the mouth. Do you remeber 60 Leafs had a catseye marble instead of gum.

Didn't Fleer offer a cookie with one of their sets too?

Jay, I do vaguely remember a cookie being in a pack, but I can't remember what it was. Might have been 60 Fleer but just a guess. I'll see if I can find out and get back. .

I was close it was 63 Fleer baseball with the cookie. 63 was late in my collecting life, girls had taken over my mind.

I never bought a '60 Leaf. All I got was a few packs of Topps, before Judy materialized. And she had ideas on better ways to spend the little money that I had than on baseball cards.
But out of those few Topps, I did get the rookie cards of McCovey and Kaat, which survived. Judy did not survive tho (for me). Im probably way better off with my rookies which survived than the one who didn't.
