Thanks. The Saints pic turned out to be a good deal. I'm glad I snagged it.

Thanks for the compliments on the Delahanty photo guys, much appreciated. That W600 is amazing. It must of been a sad day when that one left the collection.

Re: New Year Pick-Ups
I'm sorry for not participating much lately. As I posted a few months back my mother had a heart attack and wasn't doing to well. It was a hard decision, but we decided it was time for her to stop living alone. She refused to go into a retirement community, so I moved her down here to Florida with me. My twelth floor luxury high rise of a bachelor pad now resembles the Golden Girls. It was hard at first, but fortunately she had good healthcare and a nurse and physical therapist come.
I finally wrapped up the last of the loose ends on the New York side of things, so I'm hopeful that I can sit down and get back to posting again. She's doing much better (I have to admit it was fairly grim when she first got here) but I think just being out of the frozen tundra of NY is doing wonders.
I have a couple pickups I'd like to share for my developing 1904-'05 Giants cabinet collection. The first is a JK&A Red Ames that a friend was kind enough to sell me. The second is a W600 Sam Mertes that I got in Lelands.
Oh, and a side note, Bill Dahlen just missed the Hall of Fame. So my SNAFU a few months ago was almost a win!

chris,
"living with your mom" or your mom lving with you when you grow up is practically a vietnamese tradition. of course i'm married so don't get those awkward moments when popular single guys like you bring girls home and your mom is right there.

I would think that some girls would like it that you are willing to take care of your mom. It shows good values.

It'll be difficult to follow that Bender, but here goes. T207 is so underrated compared to its siblings.

Re: New Year Pick-Ups
When Pete picked up his M101-6 Ruth I made it a point to try and acquire a New York Giant example at some point.
George Burns has been one of my favorite McGraw era Giants, and I wish that more people appreciated him. The photography in this set is spectacular, and it really captures the era in a way other sets do not.
A special thanks to Pete for some peer pressure to get this in Bagger's tonight. Can't wait to have it in hand.

Congrats to everyone. I like the George Burns. Hey Chef, cool Kid Maddens. Mixing in a Chief Bender and a T207 just about covers all the bases.

won this on ebay with angled photos, got it in hand and noticed right away it's trimmed. blah gamble buying raw now to the return process.
card sellers should be required to have a scanner so you have a straight on shot of the card

Sweet CJ Bender example, Ben.
Q, I honestly didn't even notice the trim until you pointed it out. T3s are just gorgeous and I've always loved the Speaker pose.
Chris, fantastic M101-6!!! One of my favorite issues and you got a sweet one. Perfect for your collection, my friend!

Ditto to Brian's comment. Beautiful. If I got it a a decent price I'd keep it trimmed and all.

not familiar with the t3 market, thought it was a good deal for the vgex card at $570, not sure how much the trimming brought the card down. i have the seller's info, if anybody wants to make a deal with him lmk. i could be wrong and the card could pass psa.

I guarantee it'll get a PSA 10 if you have the right guy submit.
