goodwin no good deed goes unpunished

Sorry in advance for making a short story long and thanks in advance for reading.

I won a card in the last Goodwin auction and was mailed the wrong card. I bought from them before so the card arrived fast. I contacted Bill and he apologized and asked to mail the card back to him and he would send my card out the next day. He also promised to reimburse me for my shipping costs. I mailed it 2 weeks ago, and received my card at the end of last week. Trouble is I haven't received a check for my shipping cost yet. I called him last Tuesday and he apologized saying he was at the National and that he mailed the check and that I should receive it the next day. It's now three days later and i haven't received the check. I don't expect much sympathy here as we all make mistakes, and maybe I need to get a life, but even if I receive the check today I feel somehow taken advantage of and hence the post.

It's not intentional, he just gets really busy and behind sometimes, you may just need one or two more phone calls as reminders.

Should you have to do that? No, but that's just the reality of it. He's not taking advantage of you, but maybe just overlooking you if that makes you feel any better.

My experience with Bill is that he does get it right eventually. How much does he owe you for shipping? If it's only five bucks or so, maybe it's best just to forget it. You can't buy much for that amount of money anyways. Just my two cents...
