2012 All-Time Greats Fantasy League

It's time to get ready for the annual All-Time Greats Fantasy League. Our defending champion is Ben Fisher (fisherboy). For those of you who are not familiar with the league, it is basically a draft league and the season and playoffs are played on the Diamond Mind baseball simulation. Once you have your team drafted, you set the starting line up, pitching rotation, etc. Almost every player from MLB and the Negro Leagues from 1876-1996 are available (the sim database requires that a player have 10 years of service and the data disk was issued in 2006). So if a player was a rookie in 1996 or early he is mostly likely in the sim.

The database has over 1600 players so the more teams the better. The draft will start sometime around the first of Feb. If you want to participate, please post your interest here.

i read the rules...seems kinda complicated for someone like me who sees mazes of text. will the league get easier once play is underway?

i may be in depending on the answer...i've never been part of any fantasy league despite being a huge sports fan.

Quan, it's actually pretty simple. I'm pretty sure you can handle it. You can probably even draft Gregg Jeffries. It is basically a draft league. You draft a 25 man roster, submit your starting line up, pitching rotation and any platoons that you want. The plays the games. We play a 162 game season with breaks every 1/4 to make adjustments for injuries or any other changes you want to make.
