T207 Red Cross (this is a must see for everyone)
I have a Louis Lowdermilk Red Cross as well as 6 other Red Cross brown background cards.

You happen to have scans of the cards? We'd love to see them.

Re: T207 Red Cross (this is a must see for everyone)
sweet mother of god!!! They look legit but like to have them in hand to be sure.
Re: T207 Red Cross (this is a must see for everyone)
What is the story behind these cards? How did you acquire them, etc?
Re: T207 Red Cross (this is a must see for everyone)
If these cards are legit, this blows the theory that t207 Red Cross cards are only Chicago players.
Re: T207 Red Cross (this is a must see for everyone)
I think the scans are clear enough to remove any doubt that they're legit.
They're legit. And awesome

Re: T207 Red Cross (this is a must see for everyone)
The cards look legit in the scan, but given the magnitude of the cards, it would still be nice to have them in hand just to make sure. When I read Red Cross Loudermilk, my first thought was frankencard.
Re: T207 Red Cross (this is a must see for everyone)
I got these cards in Baton Rouge ~ 1940 from my grandmother's storage/attic whatever. They came from my uncle who died in ~ 1936. They were in my mothers attic, she died in 1992 and I found them again after those years. I do plan to put in auction or something. I'm 81 yrs old and not a collector.

George, you have an incredible original collection of Red Cross cards there. You will do very well on consignment. Here's your best bet as far as auctioneers go:

There's no way fake - unless it was faked before 1936. When I found out the value I put them in the bank box.

I knew these might be worth something - one of my grandsons looked in a catalog/guide/ whatever. I took 6 including the Lowdermilk (out of 90) of them to Antiques Roadshow and that's where it started. My son and I have been looking things up on the net, researching, etc.

Amazing cards. Here is a link to a Red Cross that sold not too long ago:

so this find doubles the pop of t207 red crosses?
how would you guys go about selling these cards? the lowdermilk will get big money, but will the other 4 not get max value if they're auctioned at the same time?

Re: T207 Red Cross (this is a must see for everyone)
Even though this doubles the number of known t207 Red Cross cards, I'm pretty there is enough demand out there to absorb them. Then there is also the factor that some of the whales will bid up cards they already own just to ensure that prices stay where they are.
Re: T207 Red Cross (this is a must see for everyone)
George, please don't be offended if there is a bit of skepticism. We see a lot of too good to be true stories, so we always takes things with a grain of salt until everything can be confirmed. From what tell about the cards, it matches up with where the cards were originally distributed, etc. It truly is an amazing group of cards and I am sure everyone here would love to see every card in the group as they all come from sets or have backs that are rarely seen.

yeah, but just imagine if I could hold those bad boys in my hand
Re: T207 Red Cross (this is a must see for everyone)
I would just like to go on record and offer $27 (delivered) for the Lowdermilk. I've no interest in the scraps.
Please let me know.
