Patterson Ruth in Legendary

Curious what people think of this card, in a PSA holder and all. Questions: real/fake, altered/unaltered, guesstimate as to final price (w/o premium).

Looks kind of odd, but then I hadn't handle very many cards from that set.

Does look a bit strange....sort of like it was soaked and some of the ink bled.

I also have very little experience with this issue...never held one in my hand to be honest...and when I do see them I don't pay them much mind!

But...the borders look really white compared to the image which looks kinda faded/washed out!

I just looked on ebay and there is 1 WM Patterson card for sale...upon comparing the two...I observed that the image of the one on ebay resembles that of a caramel card of the era...like an e120 for example in image quality/color...while the ruth appears kinda sepia looking.

I don't know...ruth looks kinda funny to me?

After posting yesterday, I searched the Forum and came up with this thread. A few of the cards have a similar look. I wonder if the-illini won it. I'm sure it's a tough card, but $3,500 + 19.5% is way over my price point.
