I put a few cards up on ebay last night for the first time in a long time. One of the cards was my Green port Cobb that will not slab and selling it as such. This is a reply I got from an very knowledgeable ebayer:
"if psa will not put a case on it and say its authentic...but it is real that
means the card is basically destroyed. i can offer you 30.00 for it."
My only response which I probably shouldn't have even bothered was "how generous of you"

Re: Replies to Ebay Auctions
I just got this follow up email. this guy has all the answers.
By the way Kevin Quinn is his name.
hi,
in case you have not noticed....no one is even flinching at or
buying the restored t206 wagner which is on ebay and that was at least not shot
down for a psa authentic. not to mention it is one of the top 3 most sought
after cards ever.
no one wants the restored wagner with alterations and
you think you card is worth more than the cardboard its prinited on?
palease...
i think 30.00 is extremely generous for some old card
board.

There are plenty of idiots out there in ebay land. Even in our little niche of prewar cards. I wouldn't let this one ruffle your feathers Lee.
Re: Replies to Ebay Auctions
I just laugh at these people, what do they expect to get out it? Oh Well some good entertainment for the day.

After my first reply I am done. I am glad did respond to the first comment otherwise I would not have gotten the entertainment that second one offered..
Now I just need someone to buy the cards.

I'll give you $31. Now you can email the guy and tell him that someone offered you more
Re: Replies to Ebay Auctions
Yeah, it's nice to see the idiot be a buyer for once and not a seller (BINer). Lee he seems to have a lot of interest in something he spends a lot of time running down.

Re: Replies to Ebay Auctions
is it just me...or ebay took out the "show your email" when you ask a seller a question? used to be you can ask a question on ebay and if the seller replies through to your email you can take it from there. seems like now ebay wants all correspondences through ebay messages, unless you actually give out your email.
