A couple different novelty leaders headed to the house from different places..and currently the two highest graded examples in the set. (Sorry about the scan on the second, I scan them again though once in hand....its a Traynor SGC 60)

I just picked up this T222 George Burns. It's very badly hurt, but I wanted to try a different set as I don't have a T222. I also needed a George Burns for the NY Giant pennant winning teams I collect.

Nice card none the less...I love the Fatima's, and they are hard to get in anything above low grade.

1888 Giants has 6 HOFers. That team, if done with individual cards, makes for a serious project, and a heckofa presentation. I'm planning to get the Ward/Keefe/Ewing n28 & n29; and leave it at that.

One of the E94's I won last night. I don't mind the back damage. The front looks good and it's a Nagy Collection piece to boot.

my 2nd ever e94 cobb. still have never owned a young. also i see mastro is about to have their collector auction...then huggins and 19th century...where's the break i'm feeling burn out.
p.s. i also like the slabs you buy is a reminder of your present financial situation. it went from excellent to very good, then good and now consistently in the poor category .

Great looking Cobb. I tried to go after that one too, but couldn't get my bid in on time. Oh well....glad it went to a board member.

I've been patiently waiting to find a nice Gibby at a nice price for months now. Landed this one June 3rd for $28.
Re: June Pickup Thread
Awesome Cobb, Quan!
I really wanted to bid on that one, but massive home improvements have left me with little or no hobby budget for awhile.

Re: June Pickup Thread
The rest of my E94 pickups. I don't plan on going after the entire set....I just wanted some good examples. It does seem however, that no matter what I do and what I trade away, I always end up coming back to this set. It's my favorite E set.
These first three are from the Mastro Auctions Ebay offering:
This one I purchased from a fellow collector:
And these three I got via trade:
And these last two are for sale/trade in the Tobacco section of the B/S/T:

Well Ben,
I will let Gil elucidate, as I am a greenhorn when it comes to W517s and was only looking for a nice Grove for my HOF type set, whereas he has studied the subject thoroughly. It is my understanding, though, that the green stripe entitled the holder to a candy prize.
