T213 Chief Bender Empty T213 Chief Bender

Until I get a scanner or figure out how to post a picture, bear with me. I just bought a 1914 T213 Chief Bender, SGC Graded Good. But it is in Fair condition. The seller had two and it looks like SGC graded the Fair card Good and the Good card Fair. Im looking for opinions, should I leave it alone or sometime in the future crack it open and have it re-graded or crack it open and leave it in a sleeve not graded ?

what Pete said. Low grades like that aren't worth cracking.

I'd keep it slabbed, as is. Why go to the trouble or expense of regarding it?

I guess keeping it in the holder seems to be the way to go. The card has no front or back damage,in fact if I didnt compare it to the other one that looked better but graded lower I would believe it was graded correctly but the seller insisted SGC crossed the cards. I wasnt gonna pay more for a card graded lower than the one I did buy.Very confusing how this could happen

And don't worry about issues selling it in the future, if that is your plan? T213 HOFers, even low grade with back damage or creases, ALWAYS sell. I've been collecting the set seriously for over a year, paying $30-50 for low grade commons and there is never a shortage of bidders to compete against.

T213-2 have that shellacked surface and in most cases the cracking keeps the grades low. This is very tough to see in scans but once you get them in hand you can easily see why SGC has assigned the grade.

Bought this one raw thinking it would come back a SGC 40 but once I got it in hand never even sent it in.

Love the Feds. I really regret selling off my Feds. When I was working on my player set I managed to get all the Feds from the set.
