I've finally cracked the big 3-Oh-Oh. Only about 85 to go for the Subjects Only set. I am quickly becoming the king of the VG!

Also typically not interested in PC's but found this one of Roger's Field, Washington State University in Pullman, ca. 1910. Tennis courts up front, baseball diamond & (not so) GRANDstand behind....
.....and this 1929 Pullman High School State Championship lapel pin.

I've always liked old postcards. The image choices were so interesting prior to WW2

You've been busy, Z-Nut! Love those T213's. Schulte was an underrated player who doesn't get talked about much. His 1911 season was one for the ages.

Re: July 2013 Pickups
I'll carry on the beer theme...
One of the apocryphal stories of minor league baseball in central Washington involves longtime, feisty, fire-brand PCL player/manager Edo Vanni wrestling a bear in between games of a double header. Vanni was famous for his temper, his wife once claimed "he could start a fight in an empty room". The site of the wrestling match has always been a mystery, some sources say Yakima, Wenatchee, and even Salem, Oregon.
I found this 1950 program from the Yakima Armory where a bear named "Gorgeous Gussie" wrestled Al Szacz. Vanni played for the Yakima Bears in 1949. Gussie was a Yakima firehouse mascot. This was popular in central Washington, Ellensburg had an 850 lbs. bear named "Jack" at their station in the early 1900's. Still cannot find the exact date of the match but getting closer.
