"Holy Grail" Mint Vezina RC in Goodwin

Many of you have probably seen the SGC 96 C55 Vezina RC in the current Goodwin auction. He refers to it as the "Holy Grail" and that might not be an overstatement.

Any guesses what it will end at? With a week to go, the bidding right now is over $80,000.

I think it could bring $150,000 in this auction.

Sheeit...im aware of the significance of this card in general... let alone in this condition... but I have no idea what the landscape of the hockey collectibles market is like? Ill "guess" 128k.

That card sure is pack fresh...it deserves a princely hammer!

At that price level I'm not in the game, so I'll have to settle for my mid-grade C55s (I'm happy with these):

Truly a spectacular card, no doubt. Question for the hockey collectors: would you prefer this C55 Vezina or a C57 in the same condition? Would you take a near mint Sweet Caporal Postcard over either one?

Good guess Pete - you were closer than I was...went for just about $116,000.00.
