Mr Mint is dead
The only thing that passes for a pleasant memory about this guy was at the 1987 National in SF with him demanding "dealer prices" on my cards and me telling him "I'm not wholesaler!"

Wow, how did I not hear of this until now? Crazy. I know Bob D'Angelo who wrote the article and TJ Valacak who was featured in the article and I still didn't know this. Unreal.

Re: Mr Mint is dead
Does anyone know anything about the author, Bob D’Angelo? Or this Steve Grad of Authentication Services? Doug Carr, who co-wrote the so-called ‘Insider’s Guide?’ Tom McDonough, of the Cranston show? This TJ Valacak, aka ‘vintage card collector.’ Any of these folks got street cred?

I know Bob and TJ actually. Bob is an active writer for the hobby contributing to Sports Collectors Daily often. And TJ is a very knowledgeable collector of vintage cards especially variations. He isn't as into prewar I don't believe however. Both are great guys.

Re: Mr Mint is dead
Forgot to mention that Steve Grad was the lead autograph authenticator for PSA but now works for BVG I think.
