'79 Topps Gretzky Pickup --Did I do ok? Wayne10

I recently picked up this Gretzky RC for $249.99 shipped.. Did I do ok?

I am not a hockey fan at all.. I'm a big baseball/ football guy. I do appreciate Gretzky's moves though, from what i've seen on highlights. I picked it up because I just always thought the card looked cool and it grew on me.

What are your experiences with this card?

Oh, and i should love hockey (relative of late Jacques Plante) but I just don't understand the game....

Looks pretty good for a 6, most are off center...but for $250 it's not too bad, 6's go for around $200 - $225 and 7's are $300 - $350 depending.

I like the card, it's a pretty iconic hockey card from the most well known player in modern times.

A friend of mine bought the Topps Gretzky RC in PSA 7 a few years back for $300. Nice card!

I put this card on ebay the other week and only got $185.00 for it Sad

I paid $65 just to own the card for a few months..... Boooo
