Not really an oddity, but still pretty cool.

Not really vintage by our definition, but still kinda funny. Someone wasn't a fan of Charlie hustle I guess.

I bet Upper Deck would pay you a lot of money to use those pieces as inserts in their next set.

I've seen hundreds of maples and this is the only one with a ghost print (wet-sheet-tranfer), glad I didn't take the ebay offer! I also know of a blank back Pennock variation possibly a proof card.

Re: Let's See your Oddities (Just vintage Cards Please)
One would be hard-pressed to find a more extreme example of a wet-sheet transfer than thise E126 Emil Meusel. What makes it all the more extreme is that the printing usually found on back is not there. Also, while tough to see in the scan you can see the faint inage of the back rinting on front in the area by his name. Anyways, one of the more interesting printing freaks I have ever seen, and from a relatively tough Caramel set too.

Is that the front and back of the same card, Rhett?

Yep, front and back scans of the same card. It's funny because I bought it on ebay in a PSA Authentic holder (it isn't trimmed) because I don't think PSA knew what the heck they were looking at.

At the risk of overexposing old Lotta....Bicem wrote:Ben, you must show your OJ Lotta in this thread!
