C56 and C55 - the T206 and T205 of Hockey!

These Imperial Tobacco sets have often been compared to the leading baseball tobacco sets of the era.

C56 (the earlier set) features portrait cards that bring to mind T206.

C55 cards have ornate borders that compare somewhat to T205.

Thanks Ben! I know some fans of each set. A buddy of mine is working on C55, which he much prefers. He is still looking for the Vezina RC at at the right price! .

Thanks Adam! The old Ottawa jerseys - real sharp, for sure! I believe the current Senators team has a throwback jersey that is an homage to this early jersey (similar stripe pattern).
