What did you win in REA?
I made my first major auction house purchase since the late 80s tonight. I won the lot of 4 t215 type cards.
REA t215-2 lot of 4
I know what some others won but I'll let them post it.

Pete, I wasn't sure if you were going to cry or jump for joy. You did good though. Should I tell everyone what you won? Or are you going to leave them wondering?

Chris, I'm surprised you bid on that.
Pete, you'll do fine. The you should do well on the break of those two multi-card lots.
The Kelly is cool, especially considering its provenance.

Re: What did you win in REA?
Well it was actually a placeholder bid that held up Jay - I have to confess that I wasn't aggressively pursuing it.
That said, there is nothing wrong with owning a Thorpe from one of the major sets of the period!

Re: What did you win in REA?
I had my first major auction win:
I have wanted a minidecal bat since I ran a sportscard store in 1989 when a farmer came in with a Joe Jackson mini decal bat and were not able to obtain it.
It almost appears that the late bidding on many of the vintage items was very slow.
Congrats to others on there wins, it appears Pete will be eating Ramon noodles for the rest of the year.

Congratulations, Pete. Just imagine what verbose prose could be written about your win.
Jamie, you did the right thing getting back in there on the Kelly. Billy Sunday owned that. It's incredible.
Jay, congrats on the win. Glad you could get a souvenir from the find.

Re: What did you win in REA?
congrats guys...I ended up with the loudy, the lot of 24 t215-1's, the e94 lot and the ruth exhibit dressed in tidey bowl white!
I'm coming to grips with what I've done...I'm a little scared to have totally depleted my existing cash savings...but I feel positive about most of the purchases!
Congrats to all!
For the $$$...I'd much rather have the loudy....than a lot of other cards selling in the vicinity!

Congrats, Johnny. Great price on the card, when the Bender goes for the same price as the Donlin.

pete--you are sick, sick, sick in the head...CONGRATS! i knew you had it in ya
wonka--amazing stuff as always, i expected nothing less.
looks like a strong auction for the FC members...even jay got in on the action (surprised he still had money to spend after he recently got a new CFO).

I knew it was just a matter of time, does this mean at the Full Count dinner I get stuck with the drink bill?
Cheers,
John
P.S. Amazing stuff by all the 19th Sunday/Kelly, T215 and many others along with Pete's selling of a kidney for an amazing Lowdermilk made me smile. Pete I think think folks at PBS shilled you up to make sure their number was close...FYI be careful.
