Why pay more for t205 minor leaguers?

It just dawned on me, why do people pay a premium for the minor leaguers in the t205 set. I know they come with only Hassan and Polar Bear backs, but no one pays a premium for those backs. Honestly, the minor leaguers are not that hard to find. It's another case where old school hype has carried over to present day.

I have been wanting a nice Jimmy Collins, I don't see Collins that often but I don't track T205's much..

If you track sales of the minor leaguers you will see that there are several that are very common and found alot. Guys like Nee, and Adkins, and so on come up sometimes and normally sell in the $200 range for a Grade 4. I think the ornate design and the fact that they are harder to get in VG grade and higher add alot to the pricing.

Agree with Andrew. The ornate design is really nice - moreso than the regular T205 design imo. The Nee is the best of the bunch imo, great looking card. I'm having a bit of trouble locating a scan of one though - anyone have a T205 Nee they can post?

Ok here's a Nee....crappy scan but it's the best I could find. Probably my favorite t205 other than Joss.
