Interesting. I never knew that about Pennock and that image. A very nice card for the grade, Blair!

Thank-you, sir. Yes, the front of this Canadian issue is the same as '33 Goudey. Pennock was still a Yankee in '33, and his '33 Goudey has him as a Yankee. He played his final season, 1934, for the Red Sox, pitching mainly in relief. On the card I got, the 1934 WWG, he is indicated as a Boston Red Sox player (even though WWG recycled the '33 Goudey image showing him in a Yankees uni).
Here's a scan of the reverse of the card:

Beautiful card. I'm envious. I'm a third of the way into the 34WWG set, split between graded and raw. Are you collecting only the Red Sox in the set, or the whole thing?

Hi Lucas,
Thanks for your comments! I am only collecting the Red Sox in that set. I also have '34 WWG Carl Reynolds in raw condition, but I'll likely send it to SGC. It is not as nice as the Pennock...it is likely to be about VG.

Re: March 2010 Pickups
hmm, i think jay is cheating here...just because he has alot of cards and forgot he had the young until now, clearly it wasn't picked up in march. the young should be disqualified from this thread, and our collective memories of seeing it...we need an official ruling!
along that same line, i haven't paid for it and don't have it in hand (although we've come to an agreement, in march)...i've worked out a deal to acquire the speaker below. thanks and give both trader points to steve (yawie). /jinx

heh heh. i was going to chastise you for tempting the postal gods, but i love the personalized flip. i'm too superstitious to post my looming pick-up, but good karma points are on the horizon for crazyloco eric m.

I'll be posting my end of the trade with Steve probably today. I just need confirmation from my wife that she was able to pick up the package from the PO.
