What is your wantlist looking like these days?
For me it hasn't changed a whole lot lately.
-7 more e96's to finish my set
-A few E HOFers (e95 Cobb and e97 Keeler top that list)
-D359's (whatever I can find)
-Other rare types (again, whatever I can find! A N321 tops that list)
How 'bout you?

much smaller than when I was chasing the player set, but I still need lots of cards. Still need 12 Delongs but all the toughest cards are out or the way, about 185 t205s and about 90 Diamond Stars.

Re: What is your wantlist looking like these days?
i've spent my 2008 card budget but long term in order of priority i'd like some of these cards to round out my collection:
--e97 b/ws
--e94 young
--e104 baker
--e97 colors
--e96 lajoie
--t206 plank
--t204 johnson
the plank and johnson are kinda long shots now since they're so overinflated recently.

Quan, it seems like you've been searching for that e94 Young forever. Hasn't one come along that strikes your fancy? Or are they just too overpriced to take the plunge?
Re: What is your wantlist looking like these days?
ben, always end up being underbidder or tbob needs the 18th one for his set on the group buys so i'm still young-less and restless. i've also passed up on a couple poor-- beaters.

Hey Glen, I'm curious about this set. Are those the manager strips that Frank Ward had a while ago? Or something else?
Re: What is your wantlist looking like these days?
I love seeing wantlinsts!
I still want everything, but like most my budget dictates my reality here.
- Anything and everything prewar Jersey City Skeeters (or Jerseys or Giants) related.
- T213-2
- W516-1 need 18/30 (emphasis: Becker backs)
- W520 need 12/20
- W572
- T206 emphasis: beater HOFers and any card with a certain back stamp, then any other I don't have yet
- C46 Jersey City players first (need Butler, Jones and Wells), then all others
- Any obscure issue that I can find at a good price. I just like to get new cards in the mail A LOT!

Ben - not the manager strips. The name differs between SCD and Old Cardboard, but I think they are the same: http://www.oldcardboard.com/w/ifs-blue-orange/ifs-blue-orange.asp?cardsetID=854

Hey Jeff, I might be able to help you out with the e93's. I've got a partial set that I haven't made much progress on and I'm about ready to give up on it. PM me if interested

Re: What is your wantlist looking like these days?
Thankfully, I'm not working on sets or players, that's always a fortune. For the past year or two I have been buying errors, misprints and oddities. They are affordable and fun. (except for that $45K multiple misprint).
Always looking for beaters to practice on to help the hobby recognize alterations. For every one success there are five that fail. I'm fortunate that several have been donated thoughout the years. Lately, quite a few...thanks (you know who you are!) . That group helped perfect an alteration technique that is above and beyond what was expected. The results have been past on to a friendly grader...or two.

Autographed Deadball Cards
While my main focus will likely always be autographed T206 cards, I have branched out into any pre-1920 cards that have been signed. I dabbled in 1933 Goudeys for a bit, and still have my Gehringer and Terry, but I am really only drawn to the CJs and earlier.
So, if you've got any you'd like to share a scan of -- whether or not you want to part with it -- please shoot me an email: SignedT206@gmail.com
I have an image gallery of every signed pre-1920 baseball card I could find (some of which I own, some of which I don't). The gallery is on my website: www.T206Collector.com

Re: What is your wantlist looking like these days?
t206collector,
Some might recall a group of signed (psa/dna) m101 Mall Theaters on ebay several years ago. It included a Walter Johnson. Unfortunately they were signed in pencil, so the quality of the sigs wasn't great. But still very cool to see such a scarce issue signed. And they went for bargain prices. Do you have scans of those on file?

Hi Ben
When was this? I have tracked Mall Theatres for at least 5 years and do not recall seeing any lot of signed examples. In fact, I believe I have seen scans of but two for sale at all during that time. I was lucky enough to find some through mail order and bought was left (5) sight unseen, but there were no HOFers in that lot other than Evers. I would love to see scans of any Malls, signed or otherwise.

Hey Todd
This was 2004ish. The Mall Theaters were listed individually in the autographs category, so they were pretty well hidden. I don't believe the seller wrote "Mall Theater" in the auction title/description, so that might be why they eluded you in your search. I can't recall exactly how many there were - around 4 or 5.
I wish I had kept better notes on them. My memory is foggy, but I'm pretty sure the commons all went cheap the Johnson sold for a substantial sum (but still a bargain). All were signed. If I remember correctly, Dan Mckee won the Johnson. So perhaps he could fill is in on some of the details.

I never saw...
...those, but have sent Dan an email to see if he has scans or can otherwise enlighten us. Those would be really great to see.
