Does this look strange?

I was looking at some auctions last night on Ebay, and as I was going through some of the auctions on my watch list I came accross one that I thought was rather disturbing. So I dug deeper, and I didn't like what I saw.

The person with private feedback has a rating of 25% positive feedback. You will see that his bidding patterns are strange to say the least. He has bid on a diaper bag and multiple cards of this seller. Notice the amounts he bids, $99.99, $124.99 ect.Theres more, do some digging.

Why not go directly to the "board member"? He may share your concern about the bidder, from a different perspective.

You may be correct, that may have been a better way to handle this.

I'm glad you edited the title - less accusatory. BUT, I do agree that there is a lot of fishy bidding going on there. Certainly looks like a shill.

Also, look at bidding increments. He bids it up $50 a shot and its all within seconds so that tells me he is looking for his shill to hit and then stops.

All of a sudden that (private) bidder has stopped bidding on the sellers cards.

(Sorry for the Seinfeld reference - I couldn't resist ).

I e-mailed him about it and he told me he is not sure who the bidder is, but he has bid on his cards before and never paid. So he now has his ID blocked from bidding on his auctions.

I don't know, I still think it's a bit weird.

I just took a look at the card and all I can say is, Wow! There is no way I would ever pay that much for the name on the bottom of a piece of crumpled up cardboard with no way of recognizing the player without name on the bottom. Poor Hans' face is completely gone. My standards are low, but there is no way I would ever pay money for a card where you can't see the face the of the player.
