Card Show Musings
Went to the Tri-Star show yesterday in Houston. Roger Neufeld is always there and Bill Goodwin showed up also. Got to spend some time chatting with them.
Very Little Vintage and what little that was there was way over priced. Frustrated I went over to my old stand-by dealer from Louisianna that I always manage to buy something from. He's moved over the years from Pre-War to new material and I have been buying his old forgotten vintage material. He said he wanted to show me something. Out of one of his old 3 ring binders that he dug from under his back table was all these pieces Nothing really exciting but a funny/sad story, I went to pull the Large W603 Hack Wilson out of the plastic sleeve it had probally rested in for over 20 yrs and it wouldn't come out, it was stuck. I handed back to the dealer and he reached in and broke it loose from the sleeve. Do you see the small spot on Hack's neck, thats whats still in the sleeve. It was excellent Just like the Grimm before the pull.
The little pennants were in the same Binder and I bought them also. These are all small little Pennants. The 2 Yankee ones are from 1934, one is Purple and one is Brown. The Bottom one that says Rock Ola, I didn't know if it was Baseball or Juke Box Advertising. Come to find out it's an advertising Pennant for what seems to be the Greatest Baseball Arcade game to ever come down the pike. Neat little find on that one.
Anyway, I didn't find much but had a great time none the less.
Link to 1937 Baseball Arcade Game, be sure and look at this bad boy.

Re: Card Show Musings
Jerry - That vintage baseball arcade game is off the charts. Nice Yankee pennants......
