Titanic relics for cards
He's is something different. I have real Titanic wreckwood and various pieces of fabric that I can trade for cards.
Before you laugh....
Do you have an interest in the past, history and mega-ultra rare items? Then this could be for you.
or
Want to get your wife (or significant other) off of your back? Does he/she complain about your obsession with cards? An authentic piece of the Titanic will keep them happy for a long time. There are even relic filled pendants available.

Interesting!
I know nothing about those sort of collectibles. Simply out of curiosity, what type of provenance comes with them?

Most have hand written letters or declarations from the original owners or direct descendants. With these type of relics it's not the item that costs...it's the provenance. Also there are just a few true published experts, items with their authentication is as good as gold.
To my knowledge there are only two sites that sell real Titanic wood. The other place sells toothpick sized splinters for $900.
Like cards there is also a lot of fraud but they are usually caught quickly. There is just a small group of high-end collectors and a tight circle of enthusiasts.
Many may not know who Cobb is but everyone knows about the Titanic. Almost every person is in awe when they see just a tiny piece....that makes it fun. The site is TitanicItems.com, which also has a large Titanic card collection displayed.

bump.
Who knows some of the new board member(s) may be interested in the Titanic? Plus, for some reason, sales are on fire now as the centennial approaches.
