Are caramel cards finally starting to lose steam?
As we know, the popularity of caramel cards has increased enormously with collectors over the past decade. For a few years there everything "e" was on fire. But it wasn't always that way. Have sales started to normalize a bit now relative to t/d/w cards of the era? Scarce caramels like Bishops and E107's will likely continue to sell well, but how about the more common stuff like e93's and e95's - are these sets losing a bit of momentum? How about the mid level sets like e97/e98/e102?

I was never able to get beyond their appearance.
I think that all of these, and others should be grouped with t-206 to make the ho-hum white border super monster set.
I realize that most card specialists see a tremendous difference among these sets, but to me, there is none.

I think everything goes in cycles and "E" cards are simply leveling out from their recent spike. All sets go through this at some point.
Many "E" sets will spike up again at some point down the road. It's just the nature of the hobby.
I still love em'.

A few exceptions I've noticed on relatively attainable e cards. E96 prices are still quite strong. A g-vg common e96 that you could have had 4-5 years ago for $30 will now cost in the $100 range and prices don't seem to have softened. Frustrating for me since I'm trying to make headway on the set (the only set I've actually tried to complete). Also e103's still tend to bring in strong prices - anyone catch that pinholed sgc 10 Bresnahan that sold for $427 last night on ebay? It looked good otherwise, but it's still 3x what you would have paid even as recently as 2003.

Perhaps the pin hole will not be an issue shortly. Seems graded cards with pin holes tend to get strong prices.

I think the ecard have leveled off but does not seemed to have dropped in price.
As far as pinhole rising in price, you can see price increases in graded Auth cards that present very well.
