Great article, very interesting. According to the attachment below, it seems the NHL did not adopt the forward pass until 1929, but icing was not a rule until 1937. Was it a wide open game 1929-37, or even 1915-37 on the west coast? These are some pretty dramatic rule changes, but I am unfamiliar with the history of the game.
