Full Count NCAA Tourney - SIGN UP!

I've opened up a group on Yahoo to host our NCAA tourney brackets this year. Yahoo added some nice new features this time and you also have the option of entering to win $5,000,000 in the perfect bracket contest and $10,000 in the best bracket contest. If we'd like to start our own Full Count prize to pass around every year, we could do that too (any suggestions?).

You can make your picks on March 16th; they must be finished before the first games on March 20th. You'll need to have an account with yahoo (free) to join. Only one bracket is allowed per person.

The tournament selections have been made official, so you are now able to fill out your bracket for this year's Tournament Pick'em competition.

You can make and change your picks as often as you like, but your final bracket must be submitted by tip-off of the first game on Thursday, Mar 20.

I was planning on putting a little trophy icon in the winner's profile for a month post tourney. I've seen this done on other forums and it's a nice way to show off the victory. Perhaps next year we can arrange a travelling card trophy.

Would rather keep the trader points reserved for BST related activity.

Thoughts?

Trader points need to be left alone. No trading of points, no awarding of points for anything other than transactions on the BST. If you use them for anything other than that, they become meaningless.

I say make the trophy permanent rather than one month. It would really be meaning less if it disappeared after a short time.

about trader points, i should have put a next to it. Yes, i agree with Jay. Have a trophy put next to the winner's avatar with 2008 NCAA Champ on it.

I like the idea of a permanent trophy icon, this can be used for other contests also and then I can have multiples and have Full Count bragging rights.

We can do the permanent trophy and "2008 NCAA Champ" as the rank title - sounds good.

Looks like UNC is the team of choice. I picked Georgetown, Lee went with UCLA and Mark went with UConn. Looks good for the 3 of us when UNC goes down

%@#^! Crap. Shoot. Somehow my bracket didn't take and I didn't get signed up. I filled it out and hit save, but it must not have gone through. I didn't realize it until I just now went to see where I ranked and saw there is nothing entered. Would be tied for second at 13 points! Dang it.

(BTW, I think the idea of pick your custom title for the winner was a great idea. Changing the name or title or whatever was a big thing for signing up.)

ETA: I am in a bazillion-way tie for 18th over on the Net54 side. Maybe I'll do okay over there. Tied with Jay, at least. haha
