Re: June Pick Ups
Congrats Adam! Looks like an excellent copy as well.
Not Baseball, but pre WWII. Thanks to a thread across the street, started looking for Alaska memorabilia from towns I used to work in and was stunned to find this 1924 Port Moller (AK) High School Herring Chokers photo.
Port Moller has been a seasonal fishing facility for more than 100 years. The High School operated from 1915 until 1931 when the town was abandoned. It is essentially a dock on the Bering Sea that processes world-class salted sockeye sides. Still operates under the Peter Pan Seafoods banner to this day. Notice the High School has no women, I would imagine, thus the moniker, Herring Chokers.

Nothing to do with baseball, but could not pass up the opportunity to share the "Herring Chokers" moniker.

It's been a Successful month
I won these two extremely scarce Successful Farming unnumbered promo cards in Goodwin--shown here with the ad I own:
]

Plus these two common Successful Farming's arrived today (to the extent any of them can be called common)

Very Impressive Todd, The 2 promo unnumbered ones are special and found the right home..
All 4 those are better condition than any of the 10 I found a few years ago.
Congrats!

Re: June Pick Ups
Thanks guys. For me it was one of those deals where if I don't get another decent card the rest of the year it will still have been a good year. Until 2012, I had only seen one of the promos, and it was not even acknowledged in the hobby as such. Now there has been one "set" of six in REA plus four in Goodwin, but I doubt they'll keep crawling out of the woodwork. The fact they're HOFers doesn't hurt either.

Porn stars from the 70s have nothing on the 'staches from the turn of the 20th century.
