Print Errors/Variations/And other atrocities
It seems these days that some collectors are coo coo for "wet sheet" transfers, color variations, missing colors, miscuts, printer's scrap, ghost images, etc. This mania seems especially prevalent with the venerable T206 sect of the hobby. I can certainly appreciate variations, color differences...this is a segment I like to collect. But miscuts, wet sheet transfers...were/are typically unappealing to me. I can also appreciate the insight they give to the printing processes used back then. Nonetheless I don't have very many in my collection for the aforementioned reasons.
But here are a few I DO have:

I can see why collectors would place a premium on printers scraps, proofs, and maybe striking ghost images. They are unique and scarce enough to be special. But to me, the wet sheet transfers, miscuts, and missing colors are fairly common defects, therefore lessening their overall appeal and value.
Obviously I'm in the minority in this opinion.

Thanks, Jamie - I like em!
I should comment that I don't collect these kind of print error cards generally or broadly, but in that case I was very interested because I collect Lacrosse cards and especially Newsy Lalonde cards.
