e99 pricing?
After going after the two e99's on ebay last night, curious if anyone has a good feel for market values. I was thinking both of the cards last night would be a bit cheaper than what they ended up at. I was at least happy to get one. Is this one of those issues that is just too hard to price with the scarcity?

Dave, these prices seem about "right on" with what I have seen in the past when examples came for sale. I think these sell for a little more than other cards of similar rarity b/c people seem to like the head shots from this issue - they are definitely unique! Personally, I don't think you overpaid however, as these are always super popular and could probably sell for close to a grand on a good day.

What is funny is I've always heard e100's were harder to come by. But from my own experiences I've probably seen e100's at a rate of 4-1 more than I've seen e99's. I've also always heard e100's are a bit more expensive, though not sure.

I've always believed the opposite to be true; E99's are slightly more difficult and sell for a small premium over E100's. It's very close though.
You definitely paid up for your card, but with the way Bishops and PCL cards in general have skyrocketed recently, I don't think you did badly on it at all. It's a great looking (and desirable) caramel card!
Re: e99 pricing?
Ha...good question! At this point a little of anything and everything. The e99 has been on my wantlist for a while..it was the one card besides a e100 that I couldn't pick up when I was trying to do one example from e90 through e107. Looking forward to seeing the card once it arrives...who knows what condition it is in, scan wasn't good in the auction. Didn't even have a back scan, but I'm hoping the back wasn't full of paperloss.
But this week I've picked up the e99, a Tom Barker Wagner, a D322 (which I love that set, but not foolish enough to go after it), a 1912 zeenut and a E253 Oxford Confectionery.
I would still love to find a d304 type and a butter cream type.

I don't expect to find any of those any time soon Gil. Unless lightening strikes and I buy an old book with a couple stashed inside.

Price Guides
I have a question for you guys:
19th and early 20th sets would you like to see pricing for?
I set up www.t-206.com for T206 and working on others, but would like to know what sets people would like to see specifically.
Feedback is much obliged.
thanks,ds
