Speeding up the game
Something really needs to be done to speed up games. The biggest culprits, the Yankees and Red Sox. Both teams employ the tactic of repeatedly stepping out of the batters box in an attempt to disrupt the pitcher's rhythm. Both of these teams have the longest average game times. You want to speed up the game, make the batter stay in the box once he is there. If he wants to step out, too bad. The pitcher gets a free pitch. This would do more to speed up the game than anything else. Watching the Yankees do this last night got really tiring and boring. The game lasted almost 4 hours. That is just ridiculous for a 9 inning game. It takes a game that moves slowly to begin with and makes it even slower. And MLB wonders why people today don't watch baseball like they used to.
Re: Speeding up the game
In spite of supporting the culprits of this post, I completely agree with the game being too slow. Another problem is too many commercials.
