Police Gazette Monte Ward WITH envelope!!!
I was contacted by an advanced collector and asked if I would post this wonderful item for him. He prefers to remain anonymous for now but says he will be sending scans of more items.

Can't say I've ever seen a Police Gazette envelope. Very cool pieces and we appreciate the fact that he is willing to share this with us all.

Nice...can't wait to see more. I don't blame him for wanting to be anonymous, imagine the emails he would get.

Amazing cabinet! Seeing a newly discovered HOF card in a rare set like the Police Gazette cabinets is as good as it gets for a 19th century collector!!!
Re: Police Gazette Monte Ward WITH envelope!!!
Hopefully Bob Lemke will read this thread and add Monte to the big book in time for the 2012 edition.
Does he read FC or is he another victim of net54 censorship?

i plead ignorance and need to brush up on the 19th cent stuff. all the right people (chris, E...) are excited about this find so it must be a major card! it looks to be a gorgeous piece though and well-kept for its age.

As I'm between editions, I haven't been following the forum too closely. I'll add the Ward to the 2012 book. Great find . . . and the envelope is a super adjunct.

This is my rookie first day post here and I'm not bashful about admitting that I was put on the JV team (thanks alot Lee). You can call me a bandwagon fan if you want too, but if this board keeps finding rare cards, then I might just stick around and try out for varsity.
Wow, and all this time I actually thought bizarro world didn't exist (just to be clear.....not a Seinfeld reference, since it has its origins in Superman).
Lovely Day...

Nobody here is JV. We are all varsity, newbies and vets because we all have something to contribute. Welcome aboard.

To give people some perspective on how huge this is, I've gotten emails from 2 people with about 80 years of hobby experience between them and neither has ever seen a Police Gazette envelope.
