E102 w/Menagerie nack?
I was just perusing my just delivered Legendary Auction catalog...and surprise surprise...lots more m110's...a suh-weet w600 waddell. Lot #15 containing 7 J McGraw BF2 Pennants...I may have to mortgage the bicycle for those ! But I have a question re. lot 171...a 1908 E102 w/Menagerie back. I've seen numerous e92's w/menagerie backs...but never an e102. What gives?

It's just another mistake. It's an E92.

Well...there seem to be opposing views here. is this pose shared by e92/e102? i don't know? IS it an e92...or an e101...

to keep it uniform if sgc labeled the others as e92 than this one should be an e92 also. like i said in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter if you call it an e92 or e102...they came out of the same place.

It's an E92. We assume that all menagerie backed baseball print errors are E92s because we know for sure that both the baseball set and the animal set were issued by dockman.
E92s have dockman backs.
E26 have dockman backs.
E102/E101 are anonymous backs. They share front poses with E92, but we don't know if they were premiums, what they were packaged with. We don't even know if they were candy cards.

On the other hand, Quan's right. It's kind of like looking at blank backed cards with these fronts (which do exist).
We don't really know what they are and never will, but call them E92s because they are kind of the grandaddy of this family of poses since they are the most common of them.
I don't know if they all came from the same place or what. E106s, which are a bit distorted as we know, look like they came from a different lithography source. D303s also look like a different printing source to me.
E101, E102, E90, E92 definitely look the same on the fronts, but so do T215-1 and T206 and T208 and D359. Would guess that regional companies just bought the rights to use the pictures in their premiums and these particular cards (like Quan said) were printed for each company at the same source.
