Help with Value on Old Judge Card
I picked up this Old Judge at I feel a decent price. I would like to pick some of your brains to get all of your opinions as to what you feel this card would normally sell for. Also, are Old Judge cards in this condition as rare as I have heard they are. Thanks for your input

You will find with OJs that the vast majority of collectors are more concerned with picture quality rather than the numerical grade so giving it a value will be a bit tough.

This site will offer insight on OJ prices over a range of grades.

I always find it difficult to determine how qualifiers impact price.
Outdoor poses are typically more desireable than the more common studio photos.
As Jay points out, picture clarity is more important to a collector than grade, but at the nm level, a particular card could be important to the registry types.

Nice card! A little undersized, but as we know, N172's come in all shapes and sizes. Outdoor pose is a premium as Gil mentioned.
If I were to guesstimate, I'd put the value somewhere in between $5-600.

Thank you for the input. I bought the card mainly because of the NM grade, thinking that I was getting a great deal ($450). Knowing that the player was not a star I figured that it wouldn't be worth too much more than I paid but I wasn't sure. The information about the "outdoor" poses was something that I was not aware of. Its truly nice to have fellow collectors that I can ask these questions of. Thank you again
