The Aimoo upgrade proved to be a total nightmare. Our archives disappeared for a while, as well as our member database, but thankfully that was restored. All the FAQ posts and Kevin Saucier's great info about spotting altered cards will be transfered over here ASAP along with any other posts we feel need to be saved.

Aimoo has been paid up for 6 months, so we will have a link over there directing people here and you will be able to access the posts over there too until our prepaid runs out.

Spread the word to your friends about the new site.

The "Fairy Motiff" at Aimoo was NOT our idea. When Aimoo finished with their disastrous upgrade, the fairies just appeared on the sight!

aimoo pretty much screwed the board over. it's going to be a slow rebuild, wish you guys luck.

Yep, it's going to take some time. But, if we get all the old Aimoo members to join up again, we'll be on our way. I think/hope the huge upgrade to the host will make posting easier and encourage greater overall participation.

And don't forget the chatroom feature we now have at the bottom of the page.

I like the set-up here much better than Aimoo.

Quan - at least since almost all the administrators here are banned from Net 54, we can concentrate more on this forum.

I need to e-mail Rob Lifson and inform him of the site change - at least he can change the website address on his site (which will be getting SEVERAL hits as soon as his Spring auction goes online).

I have a question for "E". Did you ever think the Net 54 board would one day become so huge when you created it after the Full Count board went to pot? TBH - I thought it would mainly be a group of us hard-core collectors like on the Full Count board. Then, the Full Count board became so bad near the end, I thought these forums might be a thing of the past - BOY WAS I WRONG!

I couldn't even believe we had over 260 members on Aimoo before our one year anniversary. Those were REAL members - not just members with multiple accounts. PLUS, Jay deleted the one or two that became banned from there (plus the "extra" accounts)! So, there were ACTUALLY that many collectors on Aimoo - hard to believe.

I know I have discussed "members" with Rob L. and several others. Our consensus on the TRUE # of different members on Net 54 is in the 400 range. So, to have over 260 in under a year was an accomplishment - especially since Jay and I created that forum by ourselves at the time (Lord only knows Jay and I are two of the MOST CONTROVERSIAL figures in the Hobby!).

Scott, I never really thought about it at the time I set up the N54 forum. I just knew that it was bad that the Full Count board was dead and that i thought it was important that there was a place to discuss pre-war cards. Also, the functionality of N54 was wayyyy better than the old Full Count board.

You're still a rookie unless you've been banned in every possible way by PSA! (in my sig line too ) Oh and my open invite to rejoin LTS was rejected as well...guess it wasn't so open after all. Net54 will be a trifecta.

I must admit Joe O. did call me right away and we had a friendly conversation. At his request I will go to PSA HQ after the new year for a day and meet with their senior graders to give them a little training...at no cost.

I should clear up something from my net54 post; the grader who called and said they received no training in alterations at all was before Orlando's time. Apparrently they do get some type of instruction, just not sure what .

I just got my DRUM, one from the Hunt auctions so I now have all the backs up to Drum and all the front up to the Demmitt/O'Hara. Working towards my Cycle 460 collection.

I didn't bring up the byline. I was already worried about goons at my front door or lawyers or both. I jokingly asked and he assured none of these were going to happen.

All he said was it wasn't personal, just business. All the time being somewhat complimentary...I'm so confused .
