M131 Preview

That trimmed up unknown is what is left of a Baltimore News Schedule card! Bummer! Here is a rough preview of the newly discovered Newsboys.

Wow. Thanks for sharing Dan. Got the two heavyweights plus three Speakers. One of my favorite poses of him that would fit nicely in my collection. Some of those cards look almost Gray, is that the case?

I think it could be because the scan was made from a xerox.

Thanks for posting the scans Dan. I like the looks of this Cobb better than the one that has been floating around for a while with the ink mark on the front.

When was the last time the one with the ink mark changed hands? and where is it now?

I remember being second highest bidder on it when Lipset auctioned it quite a few years back. After that, I don't know what happened to it nor where it is now.

Great cards. Now, if the rest of you would please refrain from bidding on the wagner or one of the speakers, I'd be grateful.

You can count on me not bidding. No more rare type cards for me.

Any word on when these wil be offered on ebay?

these M131 are doing very well. Speaker was just listed 10 hours ago and price is already rising. Any guess what this card may go for? I say $7,500 !!!

Mark- I was thinking around $6000. I was glad to get the PSA 3 Bates for $1800 when it was the first one listed.

I am guessing $4000.

Isn't there three different Speakers from this find? Plus there was a Speaker in the Hunt Auction. Didn't that one end for $5K or so?

I think you should grab a beer and sit back and really enjoy watchng these hit the market. I have a feeling you are going to be pretty happy getting that Bates in the Early Bird Special.

the sellers down fall by bidders knowing there are 3 Speakers. Not to say he should have not mentioned the 3 but buyers may wait to see what this one will sell for.

yea i think around 4k also. the first speaker up was the sgc10 in mastro last year and that brought like 3.7k, but the price should go down when 3 of them are available at the same time. i would've held onto the other 2 speakers for next year. the others should do fine.

were some of these sold privately or are they ALL eventually hitting ebay?

I believe they will all see the light of bay...ebay that is.
