Show us your best condition prewar card
What's the nicest condition/highest grade prewar card in your collection?
I don't have many, but here's mine: E92 Dockman Schaefer. I'm guessing it would grade a SGC 50 or 60? Love the color.
Honorable mention to my E270 Red Border Evers SGC 60.
Now if Quan would only trade me his CJ Matty, I'll have to amend this post

Re: Show us your best condition prewar card
I'm actually hoping to not own it that much longer, now that I've shifted focus yet again:

Best Cond. PW Card
I have had this for several years. If I had to buy it now, no way I would/could.

I'm not sure if I show this card as much as Jay shows his Thorpe but you will see it from time to time until I kick the Bucket, then you will see it once more in REA and then it will be in somebody else's collection.

Re: Show us your best condition prewar card
that e92 cobb is awesome. not sure of the pop but are there more NM and above e95 cobbs than all the e92 cobbs combined? (hypothetical question)

Cobbs
I do not know re the population difference in the two Cobbs. I do know that in any grade I see way more of the E95 than the E92.

My collection is thin on graded cards, especially in the high grades. This is one of the few:

This is my best condition card:

And I also have an SGC 50 T-206 Shag Shaugnessy. But I'd rather show the Kotton.

Eric, that T216 Gibson is a real beauty. Looks far nicer than the grade. I'm guessing a light crease at the top brought the grade down? Awesome card, I'll take 4's that look like that any day!

Thanks Ben. High grade T216's are tough to find.....and a 4 is definitely high grade. Actually there are no creases on the card. Should have probably graded higher.

Re: Show us your best condition prewar card
I have a Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb prewar two card set...both in PSA 10 holders. I believe there are only a few prewar Ruth 10's out of all the sets ever made. IMO regardless of what it looks like, it still has value.
Ah, but this was my discovery about 13 years ago and is still my secret. I tried to get them listed in the book but was told they are too obscure. So now I just tell and not show.
.
So for now I give you these:
