The seller admits it may be a re-print. I tend to think its fake, the back looks weird.

Definitely fake. The color and card stock are all wrong. I've seen worse though, hopefully nobody is planning a big snipe.

someone paid big $ for a fake...I can't see who the buyer is and there is no way to inform them, Ebay takes that away to supposedly keep fraud down.

Yeah, I never understood the rationale for not revealing the winner's login.

On a stretch, I suppose that someone could then "market" to the winner stating that they could sell them the exact same thing - only cheaper in an effort to steal a buyer, but that has got to be far fetched. What would be the harm in revealing the winning buyer after mutual feedback has been left (i.e. successful transaction)?

To me it is not about ebay protecting anyone from fraud. It is about ebay trying to limit/prevent off-ebay transactions btw users for which they get no cut. And for that I can't blame even though I don't like it.

Seller may not know they are fake. I do not see any indication of vintage card sales experience.
Then again, any seller who "thinks it might be .." is always right.
