Auction wackiness

I'm watching an auction, it goes into extended bidding. After restarting 10 minutes dozens of times, the clock runs down on the item I'm winning and it reads item won on the screen. No more than five minutes later I refresh the page and the count has started over again. Has this ever happened to anyone else here?

And it's still restarting the countdown. Perhaps somebody bid at the very moment I was getting the win notice?
