Found this card not sure what it is....
hey fellas found this card today and bought it for like 5 bucks at a flea market not sure if its real or fake or what but what you think it is. Help is needed
Nothing on the back of the card on the right side says something bout 1888 goodwin @ co. NY
Bottom say Toney and cinncinnati
I wish i could get a better photo for you but i figured for $5 bucks cant pass it could be something cool.

Most likely a fake but if it is legit it's a great buy at $5. Best thing to do is look at it under a magnifying glass and check to see if it is an actually photo or a copy.

And it's a N172 Old Judge card....IMO it's likely authentic, but heavily trimmed along the bottom so that the old judge advertisement is missing completely.

its dimesions are 1.5"W x 2.25"L
It does look like it was cut at the bottom and i looked under a magnifine glass it looks like its not a photo copy.
So if its cut and the condition its in is it worth nething ? I mean if i was to try to sell it to get something i need for my set would it sell?

It going to make you rich, but you get back more than you $5. Depending on the player and if it's a tough pose, you could get $100+ for it but if it's more common, $50 or less may be the ballpark. The key is to figure out which player it is and what team.
Re: Found this card not sure what it is....
He says in the initial post that it's Toney of Cincinnati.
My guess is that you'd get around $20 for it in that condition. Not the king's ransom, but hey - enough to add another card to your t205 set right?

Plus you get to say you've owned one of the oldest baseball cards ever made! That in itself is pretty cool. Might be worth hanging on to just as a keepsake.
