Some collectors have great disdain for Grade A cards but I will buy them in some circumstances.

If the card is tough you have to take what you can get.

And if the card is expensive, the alterations are minor (color added I think), and the eye appeal is much better than more expensive low grade examples I'll buy an A.

i would buy tim's n300 or t204s with a little color-aided As all day instead of buying an inferior looking sgc30-40 for 3-4x the price.

For me, it depends on why it is graded an 'A'. Sometimes a card gets an 'A' because it has a piece of tape on the back. Other times, it is due to trimming to try to make the corners look sharper. Others are due to recoloring of a background. Yet others are due to the amount of card missing. With 'A' cards, it is about what bothers the collector or doesn't. Personally, I don't mind a piece of tape on the back doesn't bother me. It is when someone alters a card to try to improve its grade (and gets caught) that it bothers me. To each his own. I have a few 'A' cards in my collection and I like them just the same.

Values of 'A' cards can be all over the map, though.

Good luck and collect what you like!

I love this card, it's way cleaned than any graded one that I would buy. I think it cost just over $100 and it rocks!!!!!!Graded A Lund10

The "A" on this one didn't bother me.

I'll take an "A" any day if they look like this one (I'm also a big Plank fan):

I don't know, Ben. The reflection in that one is pretty scary. Smile
