Anyone expecting cards for the holidays!
Well for me Hanukkah has come and gone...it's become more a holiday for the kiddos...so no real gifts for me...aside from some sweet socks and a REI gift card from my staff at work!
So is anyone expecting/hoping for some old cardboard this holiday season? If so what and what are the chances?

Even though I'm approaching 30 and 1,000 miles away my mother usually gets me a card for Christmas.

Im 35, and single, so Im going to be getting a couple "small" cards for myself, since Ive been a really good boy this year, and I really deserve it! Got everyone elses gifts in the family taken care of, so I figure I will splurge a little. As soon as I decide, I will be sure to post pics! Happy Holidays!

Wow, Bob. Sounds like you've got a keeper there! Does she have help or does she just know your collection well enough to find something to fit. Additionally, is she able to find, buy, and wrap them without you being any the wiser? If so, that is uber-impressive!

No card for Xmas. Mine will be delayed until the GeorgeD collection is up for auction in REA. I plan on winning one of the cards, so I'll probably be looking for a group to go in on one of the lots.

a Krappy Christmas
Almost every year at Christmas time I treat myself to a card. One year when I was really good I got an E94 Wagner:

This year I got Krapp for Christmas:

Re: Anyone expecting cards for the holidays!
its a little sad but most of the really nice cards in "my" collection were gifts from the wife she even drove with me to the national this year and the philly show the year before that. she know t's and e's like a pro I saw her bid on a t206 red cobb factory 42 just becuse it was not listed as one.. now that rocks

Re: Anyone expecting cards for the holidays!
wow that is impressive.
I can't say I was expecting cards but I did get a 1959 Topps complete Baltimore set-very nice surprise for Christmas. Still need a few cards to complete the Topps Baltimore cards from 1954 to 2000.
Happy Holiday to all...
