Show some cards of the 1919 Black Sox players from your collection.

The 8 men out:

Eddie Cicotte
Hap Felsch
Chick Gandil
Joe Jackson
Fred McMullin
Swede Risberg
Buck Weaver
Lefty Williams

Here's my one and only: a T212 Obak Buck Weaver.

The cards of my Black Sox assembly include a CJ Comiskey with his pompous hat and other attire. - the cause of the scandal.

*************************************************************************
A recent issue Rothstein, a t206 Burns and Gandil and a Ogden's Attell - the mechanism of the scandal

*************************************************************************
A photograph of the White Sox team - the victims of the scandal

*************************************************************************
A recent Judge Landis, because I have found no actual card from the era (and may not) - the clown prince of the scandal

I have deliberately avoided the individual players, in this portrayal, because their story is not the story of the scandal imho. These hapless victims (those who were guilty) were driven into actions typically not of their nature, I think, by forces of the times and circumstances specific to the team.

Ed Cicotte and Lefty Williams are portrayed in the following year's 4 - 20 game winners/ same team along with Kerr and Faber.
